The holiday apartments, garden suites, cottages and holiday houses and villas at Ascot Gardens are situated in 4 separate adjoining houses. Each free standing private house comprises of 3 private self catering suites with secure off street parking. All suites are situated in a beautiful one acre garden (which has appeared on BBC TV's Gardeners World). The garden has magnificent indigenous plants and trees, stunning water features ,a swimming pool ,and is home to a variety of bird species, fish, frogs and squirrels and animal statues.

The different standards and prices are relative to the number of persons each suite can sleep, the size of suite and the quality of furnishings and utensils supplied in each suite. All suites have their own DSTV satellite TV (80 channels), music centres including DVD's and bedside clock radios. Guests have free access to 24 hr broadband internet, pre-paid telephone, library, information brochures , laundry facilities, secure off street parking , own BBQ facility and a swimming pool with sun lounges.

Affordable Self Catering Holiday Accommodation in Cape Town

Each individual house on the Ascot Garden property has been tastefully converted into 3 private and separate self catering suites, offering accommodation for any number of persons (from 1 to 15 persons).

The 4 self catering Ascot Gardens holiday homes can be rented as 12 separate apartments (10 one bedroomed, 1 two bedroom room and 1 three bedroom suite). They are ideal for a holiday in Cape Town, business visitors to the city, wedding guests, sport groups, family reunions, hospital or American Visa visits and for visiting friends or relatives. Each self catering apartment has its own private entrance and patio and BBQ and are set in a beautiful one acre garden containing a variety of plants and trees. The water features are memorable and the all-year-round colours, spectacular.

The garden cottages can be booked individually or combined and booked as holiday homes for larger groups visiting Cape Town. A discount of 10% is offered for stays of 21 nights or more, 15 percent for 42 nights and 20 percent discount for a stay of 56 nights. There is no extra charge for persons using the sleeper couch.

Special discounted rates for stays of 3 months or longer are subject to season and availability .

There is no extra charge for children /persons using the sleeper couch or double bunks in lounge of larger suites.

Payments can be made using secure credit card payment facilities, bank transfer, cheque or cash.

Ascot Gardens offers wireless broadband availibilty in all suites and adapters are available for lap tops. There is an internet cafe with a complimentary computer offering broadband internet. In the library is also a prepaid telephone, tourist brochures and information on restaurants and activities in Cape Town.

There is also a laundry for either hand or machine washing as well as private and general washing lines. An ironing board and an iron is provided in each suite. Please note that a R10 donation is required for use of the washing machine. The R10 is donated to a charity called Little Angels which is a home for abandoned and orphaned HIV/AIDS babies.

There is DSTV satellite TV (80 channels) and music centres as well as DVD's and bedside clock radios in all suites. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and lounges and wall safes. All bedrooms have 2 single beds except Duke, Royal, Queen and the main bedroom in the African Suite and House Suite, which have queen size double beds. Duchess has a normal double bed.

The V&A Waterfront, Cape Town City Center and Table Mountain are 25 minutes drive away. Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Muizenberg and Hout Bay beach, one of the finest in Cape Town, are 15 minutes away. The Constantia Winelands, Constantia Village and Cavendish Shopping Malls are 10 minutes away and the Stellenbosch Winelands 50 minutes away. The airport is a 30 minute drive. Within walking distance from Ascot Gardens are a train and bus station, a shopping center, 5 churches and 6 excellent coffee shops and restaurants.
